I have an app on Apple Store and I would want to know the breakdown of devices running iOS 7, iOS 7.1, iOS 8, etc. However, this information doesn't seem to exist on iTunes Connect which is just showing breakdown of devices like iPhone, iPad.
My question is can we find the breakdown of the devices based on iOS version for an app on Apple Store? This will help me decide which iOS versions the new release should be targeted.
Thanks.
Apple's data shows that 88% of customers are running iOS 12, 7% are running iOS 11, and 5% are still holding on to earlier iOS releases (likely using devices that cannot update to iOS 11 or later).
85 percent of all iPhones (including those older than four years) are running iOS 14, with eight percent still on iOS 13 and seven percent running an earlier version of iOS. This category includes devices that are not able to run iOS 14.
The Latest Major Version Is iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 The latest major versions of Apple's mobile operating systems are iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, which Apple released on September 20, 2021. Apple releases new major versions of iOS and iPadOS roughly once every twelve months.
According to business analytics service Mixpanel's data, adoption of iOS 15 surpassed iOS 14 on Nov. 22. Today, Mixpanel's data shows iOS 15 is being used on 64% of devices, while iOS 14 is running on about 31.5% of them.
Now you can check application usage by iOS version at https://analytics.itunes.apple.com.
The URL is memorizable enough. Mnemonics!
