One of the elements in my SSIS data flow diagram shows an error in the tooltip when I hover the cursor over it.
Where can I see the full text of this error message?
The element that displays this tooltip is the one labeled "Specs". I'm using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008.

you can go to progress tab after running the package, then right click on the error or warning, and copy text, and paste it into a notepad to see errors completely.
In SSIS Designer, click the Data Flow tab. Right-click the component whose error output columns you want to configure and click Show Advanced Editor. Click the Input and Output Properties tab and expand <component name> Error Output and then expand Output Columns. Click a column and update its properties.
The message will show in full form in the Error List window. Turn it on via View | Error List, or Ctrl-\ then Ctrl-E. Make sure that Warnings is selected as shown here:
