As there are many androidians here I guess some experience can be shared. I can't find any concrete information how often the statistics on the google play Developer Console are updated (number of installs etc). My feeling is not more than once a day. Does anybody know?

After submit it will take 24 hours to update your app info in the play store. Show activity on this post. It takes up to 1 week to update (due to COVID-19) if your application is approved and you still do not see any changes you just have to check with other phones or check for your Google Play console application.
Google Play Developer accounts last forever as it wouldn't be profitable for small developers to make recurring payments. The only way for you to "expire" an account is getting banned/terminated. Then all apps you publish will get removed.
However, Google recently revealed that “three days” is an estimate. According to the Play Console Help page: “Certain apps may be subject to expanded reviews, which may result in review times of up to 7 days or longer in exceptional cases.”
Play store takes 2 days to update the install count for an app.
They are supposed to be updated once every 24 hours.
However, Google Play is notoriously unreliable with statistics, and every now and then they stop updating for a few days. Even when updating, they tend to give out of date/incorrect data.
I'd suggest integrating Google Analytics for Mobile or Flurry into your app(s) if you want good statistics.
