I am using Notepad++ on my Windows machine and by mistake I opened a 64MB file. Now my Notepad++ is stuck permanently and I am not able to use it.
Is there any configuration file which Notepad++ uses to maintain the list of opened files? If yes, then can I open that file and remove the entry of the 64MB file which I have opened in it?
Notepad doesn't have a default location where it saves files. Depending on various variables, its file requester window might: Point at the user's Documents folder. Present the contents of the Program Files system directory from where Notepad was launched.
Click the File tab. Click Recent to see a list of the recently used files.
If you want to recover notepad file that is unsaved after a restart, please go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming to find if unsaved text file located there.
C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++\session.xml
