i was wondering if Notepad++ has a plugin or something to index the files so that the search will happen faster.
I have a very large project and i am waiting 10 min for one search in code base.
Any idea what might help me? thanks

Once you installed Notepad++ software, open the Notepad++. Press Ctrl+F to open the Find and replace tool. Open Find in files tab. Fill in the Find what: field and select the directory for the search (folder with your site files, template package, theme folder, etc.)
What is indexing? Indexing is the process of looking at files, email messages, and other content on your PC and cataloging their information, such as the words and metadata in them. When you search your PC after indexing, it looks at an index of terms to find results faster.
Finding text in Notepad and WordPad The Ctrl + F and Command + F keyboard shortcut keys also work in Microsoft Notepad and Microsoft WordPad.
NPP has its limitations.. If you are looking at content indexing, look at Copernic Search and Google Desktop They'll give you the best speeds!
