Is there a GUI for git on Linux?

Git comes with built-in GUI tools for committing (git-gui) and browsing (gitk), but there are several third-party tools for users looking for platform-specific experience. If you want to add another GUI tool to this list, just follow the instructions.

Try the SmartGitHg. It's a Git GUI that both support Windows and Linux. And it supports GitHub very well.

I assume git-cola does what you are looking for. It is not specifically for GitHub, but it allows working with Git and its repositories in general. It is Qt-based and should work on any Linux desktop.
