We are doing project using PHP and Cassandra. If any already finished a project using PHP and Cassandra, that is available means that will helpful for reference. Is there is any sample project available? And Facebook uses Cassandra - can we get some inputs from Facebook experience and tools? Is Facebook maintain as opened?

Developed at Facebook, Cassandra was open-sourced 2008. It went on to join the Apache Incubator in 2009, and became a top-level Apache Foundation project in 2010. Since then, thousands of companies have adopted it, including Apple, Instagram, Uber, Spotify, Twitter, Cisco, Rackspace, eBay, and Netflix.
Cassandra, with its distributed architecture, was a natural choice, and by 2013, most of Netflix's data was housed there, and Netflix still uses Cassandra today.
Though Facebook has all but abandoned Cassandra, the technology has gone on to power critical web infrastructure at companies like Twitter, Netflix, even Apple. And DataStax has built a version of the tool for all sorts of other businesses.
