I used to be able to add or be added as a user to an iTunes Connect team with an email containing a plus sign. This was convenient because I was able to be part of multiple iTunes Connect teams with the same Gmail email address (emails sent to [email protected] always go to [email protected]). Now I am getting the error The email address you entered is invalid. Please try again.
Is using emails with a plus sign no longer possible? Is there a workaround?

Check if your Account is Added as an iTunes connect user. Once you become a member of the Apple Developer account, you also need to add your account as iTunes connect the user. If you have not added yet then it can also be the reason why you are going through this Apple id isn't enabled for iTunes connect error.
You can edit an existing user by clicking on the Edit button at the top-right of the page. You cannot edit your own user role or territory access but must have another Admin user for your content provider do this for you. Enter the corresponding information for the user your wish to create or edit.
iTunes Connect is your home base for managing your account and content. It houses the tools, guides, and reports you'll need while working with Apple Books.
You can invite the same email address to multiple accounts now. I just invited the same email (without +) to two different accounts and now I can see both from the single account (similar to how google play handles it). At the top right it will allow you to switch between companies you have access to.
