jQuery unbind() Method The unbind() method removes event handlers from selected elements. This method can remove all or selected event handlers, or stop specified functions from running when the event occurs. This method can also unbind event handlers using an event object.
The easiest way to do this is to do $("#new_form")[0]. submit() , it will bypass any jQuery bound handlers and submit the form.
jQuery bind() function is used to attach an event handler to elements, while the unbind() is used to detached an existing event handler from elements.
There is no opposite method of event. preventDefault() to understand why you first have to look into what event. preventDefault() does when you call it. Underneath the hood, the functionality for preventDefault is essentially calling a return false which halts any further execution.
In my case:
$('#some_link').click(function(event){
event.preventDefault();
});
$('#some_link').unbind('click'); worked as the only method to restore the default action.

Its fairly simple
Lets suppose you do something like
document.ontouchmove = function(e){ e.preventDefault(); }
now to revert it to the original situation, do the below...
document.ontouchmove = function(e){ return true; }

It is not possible to restore a preventDefault() but what you can do is trick it :)

If you want to go a step further you can even use the trigger button to trigger an event.

e.preventDefault();
