How can i see rectangular marquee selected area size without cropping it ? It is very easy in paint.net but i have to do in photoshop cs 5. While selecting an area i should be able to see the dimensions of selected area. How can i do that ?
Also when i select an area with rectangular marquee i want to see the position of that area or at least i need to be able to see a pixel position. Position means its position in the image like top 55px left 45px thank you.

Hold the Ctrl key (Windows) or the Command key (Mac) and click on the layer thumbnail in the Layers panel to select all the visible pixels in that layer. The size of the selection (visible pixels) is now displayed in the Info panel.
In the Tools panel, select the Rectangular Marquee tool. Drag a rectangular selection onto the image. The area inside the animated border represents your selection. To select more, click the Add to selection icon in the options bar or press Shift and drag.
Marquee tool is the basic selection tool that can select your Photoshop layer in several shapes, like rectangle, ellipse, single-pixel vertical and horizontal line, square, and circle, etc. By default, the marquee tool makes the rectangular selection.
The cursor position and selection size are shown in the Info window (F8, in the upper right in my workspace).
