Is there a way we can find out the index of column in grid, if we know the column name in Kendo grid?
e.g.
EmployeeID| Name
123 | John
I want to know the index of 'Name' field i.e. 1 in the grid. Any suggestions.

You can get the cell value from the model of a grid. Option 1: $("#grid"). data("kendoGrid").
kendo:grid-pageable-messagesThe text messages displayed in pager. Use this option to customize or localize the pager messages.
The Kendo UI Grid with multi-header columns creates them with a data-title attribute equal to the current title of the column. To identify the column that needs to be updated we can use the tilde selector which does a contains search through the thead of the grid. Create a custom function updateColumnTitle .

grid.columns.find(function(v, i) { return grid.columns[i].field == 'myColumnName'; })
