I followed a blog(link) to install and configure MongoDB in my system[Windows 7 32 bit].
As per blogger said, I have download mongodb-win32-i386-2.6.5 and extract to D:/mongodb/ and followed the blog
Upto installation everything alright, but when I try to start service using following command,
D:\mongodb\bin>net start MongoDB
I got error response as,
System error 2 has occurred.
The system cannot find the file specified.
How to solve this ?

MongoDB is available in both the versions which support their respective 32-bit & 64-bit windows. For instance, 32-bit windows users have got the advantage of having qualitative development and testing environments.
MongoDB stopped the support for all 32 bits OS a while ago because it's limited to about 2GB of RAM which is simply not enough to run something in production and it was too complicated / costly to support both 32 and 64 bits systems in the code.
MongoDB for Windows 64-bit runs only on Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 7 64-bit, and newer versions of Windows. This build takes advantage of recent enhancements to the Windows Platform and cannot operate on older versions of Windows.
This is due to Mongo Compass which is selected(default) during installation that does not work for Windows 7 64 bit. Please cancel the installation remove the mongodb folder and start reinstalling. During reinstall, uncheck the mongo compass (you have install it manually for Win 7 users).
Press the Install button to begin installation process. After pressing the Install button, you can see the screen of MongoDB installation process. Wait until the installation is done. And finally you have the MongoDB database installed.
After finding this out, the 32-bit windows users would follow the guide to install the version of MongoDB which supports 32-bit and vice versa. MongoDB is available in both the versions which support their respective 32-bit & 64-bit windows.
To configure MongoDB with non-commercial MongoDB management tool i.e. Robo 3t, one can easily use the full command on the mongo shell during configuration. Step 1: Download Robo 3t and launch the installer. Step 2: Click “ I agree ” to agree to the End-user agreement. Step 3: Click “ Next “. Step 4: Click “ Install “. Step 5: Click “ Finish “.
1 Go to the local disk C and get into “ Program Files “. There you’ll find a folder named “ MongoDB “. ... 2 Open it and you’ll find a folder named “ bin ” i.e. binaries folder. ... 3 Open Settings and search “Path”. ... 4 Click on “ Edit the system environment variable ” and then click on “ Environment Variables “. ... Run Command window as administrator and run net delete MongoDB
For running mongo as a service use this:
C:\mongodb\bin\mongod --bind_ip 0.0.0.0 --logpath "C:\Data\db\log.txt" --logappend --dbpath "C:\Data\db" --port 27017 --serviceName "MongoDB" --serviceDisplayName "MongoDB" --install
then run Command window as administrator and run net start MongoDB

After installation in E: drive, run mongod command with options @ E:\Program Files\MongoDB\Server\3.2\bin> mongod --storageEngine=mmapv1 --dbpath C:\data\db
Observe, two options are necessary to be installed without errors, specially for 32-bit, --storageEngine=mmapv1 and create a directory in OS drive(c:) only as --dbpath C:\data\db
Keep your server running at command prompt, install mongobooster from http://s3.mongobooster.com/download/3.5/mongobooster-3.5.3.exe for GUI to manage mongodb. and connect to local database..try samples @ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6gx4Cwl9DGDQ5DrbIl20Zu9hx1IjeVhO
