In the Storyboard, select the view controller that you want to instantiate in code. Make sure the yellow circle is highlighted, and click on the Identity Inspector. Set the custom class as well as the field called "Storyboard ID". You can use the class name as the Storyboard ID.
SwiftUI works seamlessly with the existing UI frameworks on all Apple platforms. For example, you can place UIKit views and view controllers inside SwiftUI views, and vice versa.
Overview. You use view controllers to manage your UIKit app's interface. A view controller manages a single root view, which may itself contain any number of subviews. User interactions with that view hierarchy are handled by your view controller, which coordinates with other objects of your app as needed.
I have setup tab bar controller using interface builder, and each tab bar item is linked to a view controller (4 tabs, 4 view controllers). I want to know if Interface Builder uses an -init method to initialize the view controller because apparently this method does not get called:
- (id)initWithNibName:(NSString *)nibNameOrNil bundle:(NSBundle *)nibBundleOrNil;
... and I want to do some initializations. I can't add that to -viewDidLoad since it is recalled in case of memory warning. Any idea?
