I am facing a very strange problem here. When i click an image in portrait mode and upload it and then again fetch it it is displayed rotated 90 degrees counter clock wise. But when i see it in camera roll it is displayed in correct orientation as it was taken in. I have tried almost all possible links/codes for this issue but nothing seemed to help. I save images in JPEG representation.Please help with this someone. Thanks in advance!!
Right-click the image and select Details to reveal a screen with metadata, including EXIF data, that you can adjust if the image supports it. Force a preferred orientation. Rotate the image, then save it. That process reconstructs the image along the requested dimensions.
The reason your photo would appear this way is because the photo was taken that way (either with the phone sideways or upside down) and the image file itself is in this orientation. For example, if you hold your phone upright and take a photo, the photo is saved in portrait mode or "sideways".
Find and turn on the "Auto-rotate" tile in the quick-setting panel. You can also go to Settings > Display > Auto-rotate screen to turn it on. Your phone screen should rotate automatically now if nothing is wrong with the sensors.
Tap the (gear-shaped) Settings icon in the corner of the Quick Settings panel. Tap “Display.” Scroll until you see “Auto-rotate screen", and then tap it. Toggle on “Use Auto-rotate" and then “Enable Face Detection".
Resolved by making a category on UIImage and scaling and rotating image based on their metadata EXIF's.
