What is razor view in MVC?

Razor is a markup syntax that lets you embed server-based code into web pages using C# and VB.Net. It is not a programming language. It is a server side markup language. Razor has no ties to ASP.NET MVC because Razor is a general-purpose templating engine. You can use it anywhere to generate output like HTML.

What does return View () in MVC do?

The default behavior of the View method ( return View(); ) is to return a view with the same name as the action method from which it's called. For example, the About ActionResult method name of the controller is used to search for a view file named About.

What is ContentType C#?

The information in the ContentType class is used to describe the data contained in an email message in such a way that software that displays email can present the content in an appropriate manner. ContentType is used with the Attachment class to specify the type of content in the attachment.

Taking it as a resounding no, I wrote my own. That's what Sundays were made for.

Update

Stumbled upon this great resource today.

Update 22-03-2020 As Jon and James White mentioned on comments, you can check:

System.Net.Mime.MediaTypeNames

You could use:

  • System.Net.Mime.MediaTypeNames.Application
  • System.Net.Mime.MediaTypeNames.Image
  • System.Net.Mime.MediaTypeNames.Text

For example, System.Net.Mime.MediaTypeNames.Image.Gif is equal to "image/gif".
