In the US, the company operates in some 38 facilities in Northern Virginia, eight in San Francisco, another eight in its hometown of Seattle and seven in northeastern Oregon. In Europe, it has seven data center buildings in Dublin, Ireland, four in Germany, and three in Luxembourg.

AWS Global Infrastructure Map The AWS Cloud spans 87 Availability Zones within 27 geographic regions around the world, with announced plans for 21 more Availability Zones and 7 more AWS Regions in Australia, Canada, India, Israel, New Zealand, Spain, and Switzerland.

11 October 2018, WikiLeaks publishes a "Highly Confidential" internal document from the cloud computing provider Amazon. The document from late 2015 lists the addresses and some operational details of over one hundred data centers spread across fifteen cities in nine countries
