Shift + F5 forces the web browser to ignore its cached contents and retrieve a fresh copy of the web page into the browser. Shift + F5 guarantees loading of latest contents of the web page. However, depending upon the size of page, it is usually slower than F5 .
You activate the function with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Shift-R, Shift-F5, or by holding down Shift before you activate the reload button. Chrome ignores the cache and will load all resources from the web page again. Google Chrome supports a third reload option and a somewhat hidden reload menu as well.
F5 is a standard page reload. Ctrl + F5 refreshes the page by clearing the cached content of the page. Having the cursor in the address field and pressing Enter will also do the same as Ctrl + F5 . No you are wrong.
In all modern Internet browsers, pressing F5 refreshes or reloads the page or document window. When pressing Ctrl + F5 , it forces a complete refresh of the web page, clearing the cache and downloading all contents of the page again.

F5 refreshes the web page and often reloads the same page from the cached contents of the web browser. However, reloading from cache every time is not guaranteed and it also depends upon the cache expiry.
