What is the simplest (to install and use) git client for Windows nowadays?

By default, Git is installed on Linux and macOS computers as a command line option. However, Microsoft Windows does not include a Git command.
There is no “Git-SCM”, that's just the URL of the source control management (SCM) software—the name is just Git. Originally written for Linux, the original Git software is only available as a source that doesn't compile easily on Windows.
