I have always been fascinated with data from a young age and grew up loving to crunch numbers and data. In my university days, I dealt with lots of scientific and spatial data including climate data and physical sensor data. Statistical and geostatistical modelling were among my favourite topics.

I have always been more driven by technology and advanced methods to solve data-related challenges more than specific thematic interests, having dealt with data from fields as diverse as bioinformatics, satellite imaging, finance, linguistics and climatology.

In my free time, I enjoy coding applications, web services, taking part in Kaggle contests and generally messing around with new languages, libraries or frameworks using AWS EC2 clusters.
