A seasoned technology leader, experienced in managing technical architects and engineers in the cloud computing space. Built two cloud computing platforms from scratch and personally designed and coded several key components. Have spent the past 20 years working for Service Providers, starting out in Sys Admin, then up through engineering into architecture, then into management. As a manager integrated DevOps principles into how we managed platforms, particularly around software written to help plan and manage growing platforms. Also have experience of preparing and taking platforms through a PCI-DSS audit successfully.

In 2009 I made a conscious decision to stop writing perl code to solve problems and to start using Python to solve problems, I had no experience of Python and the learning curve was steep to begin with..... but I wouldn't go back to perl!
