Development Lead - Spring Data GemFire & Spring Data Cassandra; Spring by Pivotal Software, Inc.
John has been developing enterprise software using Java technologies since 1998, and with the Spring platform since 2006, solving complex technical problems and challenges in the state healthcare, financial, automotive and transportation logistics industries.
In 2011, he joined VMware working with the GemStone team on in-memory data grid (IMDG) technology with Pivotal GemFire. In 2013, John joined the Spring team to continue the development of the Spring Data GemFire and Spring Data Cassandra projects, and has contributed to many other Spring projects such as Spring Boot, Spring Data Commons and Spring Session.
John's passion and interests center around API/Framework design, data management technologies and highly-concurrent, distributed systems.
