Run one of the following commands: Dock to left , Dock to right , Dock to bottom , Undock into separate window or Restore last dock position . To toggle Restore last dock position with a keyboard shortcut, press Control + Shift + D (Linux/Windows) or Command + Shift + D (Mac). Figure 5. The undock command.
You can also change the Chrome DevTools dock position. You can either undock into a separate window, or dock it on the left, bottom, or right side of the browser. The dock position can be changed by pressing Cmd + Shift + D ( Ctrl + Shift + D ) or through the menu.
In the developer Tool Window, On the top right corner you'll see three vertical dots. click it, and on the top you'll see "Dock Side" option. From this option you can change the setting.. i.e. to open the developer tool in the same webpage..
Click the vertical ellipsis button ( ⋮ ) then choose the desired docking option. (the docking option with the red circle around it, is undock)
For older version of Chrome, press and hold the corner button
You can also undock/dock-to-left/dock-to-right/dock-to-bottom from the Command Menu. Press Cmd+Shift+P (Mac) or Cmd+Shift+P (Windows, Linux, Chrome OS) to open the Command Menu, then start typing bottom
