Spring Boot default test throws an IllegalStateException

Question

I am starting to play with spring boot and I have problems with fresh new installation.

I have created initial project using http://start.spring.io .. here is my build.gradle:

When I execute in the command line:

gradlew clean build 

build fails. Here is the output:

Test failed. Here is Test class code which fails:

This is fresh new installation of spring boot and fails immediately. What I have to do to make build passes and test execute without any errors?

Make sure you have connection properties in the application.properties

For eg.
