I'm trying to get a sliding drawer to pull down from the top in my application, but I can't figure out a way to do it. Any help?

It all depends on how tall the drawer sides. The taller the side means you will want to mount the slide more in the middle. On shorter h drawers you can mount them middle or at the bottom and it will work fine.
A top mount drawer slide is mounted to the top of the opening and side of the drawer. The most common use of this slide is for keyboard trays or pencil drawers.
A Euro drawer slide is a single rail epoxy coated undermount slide. Pull out movement is achieved with a nylon wheel versus a ball bearing system. Load capacites vary from 75-100 lbs and these slides can be 3/4 extension of full extension.
The built in sliding drawer is not that flexible, your best bet is to extend it and modify its behavior, or take a look at this http://code.google.com/p/android-misc-widgets/
