There's a good reason the Linux kernel is written in C. Finally, C is easy to get started with, especially if you're running Linux. You can already run C code because Linux systems include the GNU C library ( glibc ). To write and build it, all you need to do is install a compiler, open a text editor, and start coding.
To run programs via the Run command, select the Alt-F2 to open the Run Command box. You can also hit Alt-F2 as a shortcut to the run command. Next, type the name of the program you want to run. In this example, you'll run the Terminal application, type terminal, select the Terminal icon and hit Enter.
This question I'm sure has been answered, I honestly don't know how to ask it via search though. So please excuse my lack of knowledge as this one of the only place I really have a lack of knowledge in the world of Computer Science.
How can I/ Is it possible, to run a C program on a Hosted Server. To where I could go to http://mysite.com/myspecialcprogram.c and it would run? Or better yet, to what extent can I use a high level language like C to program for my server?
It should also be noted that I have a Dedicated Linux box running apache. So I have full access.
