I need to know the number of characters that can be put in the Appstore listing, What's New section.
I understand can get this from the AppStore Connect if I try to create a new version. However, I'm not able to do this right now, and cannot seem to find anywhere where the character limits are documented.

The iPhone 6 & 6 plus have a wider display but do show only 4 icons, which means more space for your title. The best way to test this, is with the iOS Simulator. So as an answer to your question: There is not a real limit as it depends on character length, device width and iOS version...
I don't know either. A quick glance at the code behind the change password page shows that a number of fields associated with the Apple ID are limited to 32 characters, although I couldn't find a specific error message regarding a proposed password being too long. A forum where Apple customers help each other with their products.
Currently iTunes allows 100 characters for the keyword field for all languages but some languages like German generally have much longer spellings than English.
The limit for what's new section per platform is:
Android: 500
iOS: 4000
