What alternatives are there for PhoneGap and Cordova? I'm need to complete some research for native apps with HTML/CSS/js, but I didn't find anything except for them.
Apache Cordova is a popular alternative to PhoneGap, which is still active and running, despite PhoneGap going obsolete. It is an open-source platform that is leveraged for the creation of mobile apps with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It is open-source software, with complete community support.

Update for Customers Using PhoneGap and PhoneGap Build – “We are announcing the end of development for PhoneGap and PhoneGap Build and the end of our investment in Apache Cordova. Enjoy! PhoneGap is an open-source framework for developing cross-platform mobile applications. The project itself was initially started in 2008 by Nitobi, a Canadian web development company. During an iPhone Development Camp, the team at Nitoby tried to create a new technology that would bridge the gap between mobile and web technologies.
React Native could be an alternative, it's still pretty new (especially for Android) but has some good thinkers behind it at Facebook and would be easy to learn if you know ReactJS.
There's also solutions such as Titanium Appcelerator.
I have dabbled in both and found them both fairly approachable - I have been able to get quick proof of concepts done quickly. I don't have any direct experience taking an app written with either to the App Store though.
