I have downloaded Oracle XE 18c for Windows 64 bit, and tried to install it on a Windows 10 machine. I checked the SHA-256 checksum and it's correct.
The installation starts fine, but when it's copying new files it suddenly says "Rolling back installation", then ends and there's no error log to look at. Any ideas?

If there is a directory or folder with a space embedded in the name, the installer will not start. Change the offending folder name by removing any spaces embedded in the name. Then re-run the installer. NOTE: This issue can also occur when the zip file is extracted incorrectly and not all of the files are extracted.
Run command prompt as administrator. Now run the task manager again and check whether the service still exists or not. Restart your PC and then try reinstalling the software.
In Windows go to start run and type services. msc a service window will come which contain the information of all the services are running in your system. Now simply check for the Oracle Listener service. If it say started its means that oracle listener is running.
I run "setup.exe" as administrator instead of "Oracle Database 18c Express Edition.msi" and it worked perfectly.
