Does anyone know how what is the best way to merge different ttf files. I mean font files.
I have two ttf file and I want to have one where English characters are taken from the first one and Japanese from another one.
TrueType TTF Fonts are commonly used in Windows and Mac operating systems. TrueType barcode fonts may be used in other operating systems if installation information is provided by the OS vendor.
TTF file is a font file format developed by Apple and Microsoft in the late 1980s as a competitor to Adobe's Type 1 fonts used in PostScript. It used on both Windows and Macintosh platforms. It can be resized to any size without losing quality and looks the same when printed as it does on the screen.
Copy and paste using a font editor. I have used FontForge (open source, free, Windows, OSX, Linux) and FontLab (commercial, Windows, OSX) in the past with good results.
If you only need to merge fonts then TransType from FontLab is a good option. I'm not affiliated, just been using that app for over a decade!
