I have the following task:
Add falling fairy dust (kind of like Tinker Bell) to a website logo.
The falling fairy dust should be continuously animated/falling and fading out.
The website logo is a png.
I would like to absolutely position a div over the existing website logo image. That div would contain the animating fairy dust.
I know this is usually the type of job for Flash, but it is not allowed for this project.
What is the best way to do this? Is there some way with JQuery animation, or Canvas or processing.js?

If your spell-casters want to throw their pixie dust instead of bottling it up, simply add equal amounts of baby powder to glitter — then take it outside and toss it by the handful. Kids will love seeing their pixie dust go POOF as the glitter falls to the ground.
From the books, following the Pixie Dust Tree's destruction, "fairy dust" is created by grinding the molten features of Mother Dove. In its common appearance, Pixie Dust is nothing more than a golden, sparkling powder. This dust comes from special blue pixie dust which replenishes the supply.
