itunes connect / Testflight app always show old version (even if we upload a new one to testflight)

we are scratching our heads,

we worked with the new testflight/ itunes connect and were able to submit builds for internal users. somehow, it stopped working and it always goes to an old build when we release.

under prereleases, we see all versions (1.0.7, 1.0.7.1 -> 1.0.7.7) - all other versions are inactive. each time we release to testflight, relevant internal users gets an email (invited to use the latest build) - but when we open it via testflight -it always lets us to install 1.0.7.3).

i've asked apple about it but they haven't answered for like a week and a half.

anyone else had this issue?

How do you upload a new version of TestFlight?

Log in to https://itunesconnect.apple.com In your app, click on TestFlight in the top menu. You should see the build uploaded. Be sure to note down your build number for adding to a beta group. By default you will be able to test your app yourself, simply by installing the TestFlight app on your phone.

Is TestFlight tied to Apple ID?

Test Flight is now linked via your Apple ID that's signed into the device at the top. This was running on iPad with OS 14.3. It's the same as on iPhone as well with that newer version as well. Go to Settings -> Top Link (name, icon, Apple ID, iCloud...).

Can I upload lower version in TestFlight?

No, this is not allowed. You can only have 1 version available for download in the App Store at a time for a specific iOS version (users with older versions of iOS can download the last compatible version of your app but I don't think that's what you're looking for).

How do I send a TestFlight invitation to itunes connect?

Simply go to your app's TestFlight page, click an existing group, and click Enable Public Link. You can then copy the link and share it on social media, messaging platforms, email campaigns, and more.

i was able to resolve this - needed to click and disable "TestFlight beta testing" and then enabling it again.
