Any hint how to remove this type of features?
com.google.android.material.navigation.NavigationView. Represents a standard navigation menu for application. The menu contents can be populated by a menu resource file. NavigationView is typically placed inside a DrawerLayout .
Add a navigation drawerThe drawer appears when the user touches the drawer icon in the app bar or when the user swipes a finger from the left edge of the screen. Figure 3. An open drawer displaying a navigation menu. The drawer icon is displayed on all top-level destinations that use a DrawerLayout .
You can completely control item background color, just change itemBackground
attribute of NavigationView
:
<android.support.design.widget.NavigationView
app:itemBackground="@android:color/transparent" />
You can use ColorStateList
as well to set different background for checked state and unchecked state.
