Is it possible to store the credentials that I use to connect to my Team Foundation Server directly in Visual Studio 2010?
I would like to avoid inserting them at every VS launch.
The problem is that the machine that host TFS is not in the domain and I am connecting using the credentials of a user created on that machine.
Suppose that the machine name is TOOLS and the user is Marco, I need to insert every time
User name: TOOLS\Marco Password: * Can you suggest a possible fix for this, if it exists?

Where is the credentials information stored? Actually Windows stores the credentials information at Control panel\User Accounts\Manage Your Network Passwords (or Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\Credential Manager). For example, I'm using Dynamsoft TFS Hosting service.
Click on two credentials modify link, click the link Remove from vault to remove stored TFS credentials. Now, When you login into Visual Studio you will be asked to give credentials to connect TFS. Note: Don't forgot to uncheck the option Remember my credentials to force to ask credentials for every TFS connections.
From the Visual Studio Tools menu, select Options, then select Source Control > Plug-in Selection. Select Visual Studio Team Foundation Server. For Visual Studio Team Foundation Server, enter the name and port number for the Azure DevOps Proxy Server. Select Use SSL encryption (https) to connect.

On Windows 7 (and vista?) you can stop TFS prompting for passwords all the time by adding in a windows credential in Control Panel -> User Accounts -> User Accounts -> Manage your credentials.
Windows XP: Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Advanced -> Manage Passwords
Add a windows credential for your tfs server. You might also have to add the server to your local intranet in your internet settings.
