I'm working on a site that still has a lot of scripts in ColdFusion. I need to move it to a new server. I much prefer Apache/Linux instead of IIS/Windows. I've seen some info here and there about running ColdFusion on Apache/Linux. Is that a stable setup?
ColdFusion is used by the Social Security Administration, the Food and Drug Administration, The Kennedy Center, the State Department, and the Fortune 100 websites listed below.
Several ColdFusion versions come with built-in high-end security capabilities. In cyber security, no other language supersedes the authority that ColdFusion has enforced over the years. Quite popular among the developer community, ColdFusion is used for several applications in a wide range of industries.
ColdFusion MX is a powerful web application server that lets you create robust sites and applications without a long learning curve. ColdFusion MX does not require coding in traditional programming languages (for example, C/C++, Java, XML), although it supports these traditional programming languages.
ColdFusion is built on a Java Enterprise Edition (JEE, formerly termed "J2EE") technology platform. This structure lets ColdFusion applications take advantage of, and integrate with, JEE elements.
