I recently created a WCF service that works fine when tested from Visual Studio 2008. but when I deploy the project to IIS and I try to access the .svc file from IIS, I get this error :
"Server Error in '/' Application. The resource cannot be found. "
I've been having this issue for the past 4 days .
in the Handler Mappings of IIS Manager, I can see two entries for .svc :
svc-Integrated and svc-ISAPI-2.0
Resolution. To resolve this problem, verify that the file requested in the browser's URL exists on the IIS computer and that it is in the correct location. Use the IIS Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in to determine where the file requested must exist in the IIS computer's file system.
Solution: Open IIS Manager (Start > Run > search "inetmgr"). Browse from the top level server to Sites and expand the Default Web Site. Select each of the Revit Server applications, and in the Content View, right click on the SVC file and select Browse.
What worked for me, On Windows 2012 Server R2:
