I would like to know how to change the keyboard background color programmatically in iOS? The background is normally grey but I have already seen black background (behind letters).
Change how your keyboard looks On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gboard app. . Tap Gboard. Themes.
Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Scroll down and tap Display & Brightness. Tap Dark under the Appearance section at the top.
Setting the Keyboard to Dark Mode Enabling the Dark mode is a complete no brainer. Launch the Setting app, swipe down, and select Display & Brightness. The first option that pops up is Light and Dark, tap on Dark and voila – the iPhone keyboard turns dark grey with white letters.
For the dark background use:
mytextfield.keyboardAppearance = UIKeyboardAppearanceAlert;
Read to find more information about UITextInputTraits (use UIKeyboardAppearanceDark
at iOS 7+).
