I've implemented some hotkeys for a Swing application with InputMap like
getInputMap(JComponent.WHEN_IN_FOCUSED_WINDOW).put(KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(KeyEvent.VK_A, Event.CTRL_MASK), "selectAll");
getActionMap().put("selectAll", new SelectAllAction());
it's working fine. Now, how can I do the same thing if I want to catch the
CTRL + MouseWheelUp
I've tried some combinations such as
getInputMap(JComponent.WHEN_IN_FOCUSED_WINDOW).put(KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(MouseEvent.MOUSE_WHEEL, Event.CTRL_MASK), "zoom");
with no luck

You can't use an InputMap/ActionMap for this. You need to use a MouseWheelListener. The listener can then access the custom Action from the ActionMap. Here is a simple example that uses "Control 1" for the KeyStroke:

In my case, I want to listen to the JPanel
so it was easy to use the MouseWheelListener
.
