Is the demand for android developers high? There is an extremely high demand for android developers, both entry-level and experienced. Android apps continue to grow in popularity, creating a wide variety of job opportunities.
Average salary for a Android Developer in India is 4 Lakhs per year (₹33.3k per month). Salary estimates are based on 7591 salaries received from various Android Developers across industries.
Developers are subject to a Google Play service fee based on a percentage of the purchase price or digital purchases in their app. Only 3% of developers on Google Play are subject to a service fee; the other 97% of developers can distribute their apps and take advantage of all Google Play has to offer at no charge.
If you want to publish your application to the Android Market, you have to get a developer subscription ($25). Once you have a developer subscription, you can publish free apps as much as you like; in order to sell apps, however, you have to be in one of the countries where you can be a Google Checkout Merchant. Google gets 30% of the revenue. Also, be aware that the paid apps will be available only in countries that are listed in the Paid App Availability list (scroll down).
