I was doing some research around different areas of Dynamics CRM 2011 and i came across the Articles entity. Looking around some I noticed the search tab in the ribbon where you can configure loads of different searches for the articles, including Full-Text Searching. This confused me a little as i was always told that we couldn't use this in CRM 2011 but seeing this makes me wonder.
So is it possible to actually use this in CRM 2011, or is it just a special feature for this one entity?
Thanks
Click the Advanced Find icon to open the Advanced Find window. This window will allow you to select the entity for which you want to search records, apply filtering and grouping criteria, and save your Advanced Find views as personal views.
Advanced Find is a powerful way to find any data you are looking for in Dynamics 365 CRM solutions. Once you understand the basics, you'll be able to develop a query, establish filters, adjust the columns, and even export to Excel.
Global Search for Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a custom module, which allows you to search across all CRM entities at the same time, providing results in a single-view convenient layout.
Create Two Ribbon Buttons one for “Import From Excel” and another for “Import From CSV”. Step 2: Enter Button Label and for Import From Excel Add Simply populate the 'CommandCore' property with 'Mscrm. ImportDataFromExcel' and you good to go. Set the 'CommandCore' property to 'Mscrm.
Full-Text Searching only applies to Knowledge Base entities.
