Question

When starting webpack-dev-server following warning is thrown:

Since it is only a warning the output is still generated and served, when trying to access the app

If you ran "ng -v" do you have all the dependencies of angular in the same version?

I was having the exact same problem and when I execute that command the result was:

@angular/cli: 1.0.1
node: 6.11.0
os: linux x64
@angular/animations: 4.2.3
@angular/common: 4.2.3
@angular/compiler: 4.2.3
@angular/core: 4.1.3
@angular/forms: 4.1.3
@angular/http: 4.1.3
@angular/platform-browser: 4.1.3
@angular/platform-browser-dynamic: 4.1.3
@angular/platform-server: 4.1.3
@angular/router: 4.1.3
@angular/cli: 1.0.1
@angular/compiler-cli: 4.1.0

I changed the package.json and set all the dependencies with the 4.2.3 version, then ran "rm -rf node_modules && npm install" and now is working!
