I am trying to transfer an app to another Apple ID. When I did this I received an error saying the app could not be transferred as the app had iCloud enabled.
Since this was not intentional I tried to disable iCloud and submit an update to the app. To do this I:
However I can still not transfer the updated app and am still getting the error that iCloud enabled apps cannot be transferred.
Does anyone know if this can be fixed - or is it a case of fully deleting the app and starting again?
All replies. You can't, content (apps, musiv, films etc) from Apple is tied to the account that originally bought/downloaded it, and it's not currently possible to copy or transfer them to a different account.
Step 1: On your iPhone or iPad, Open Settings app. Step 2: Tap your Apple Account > iCloud > Manage Storage. Step 3: Tap Backups. Step 4: You'll see a list of devices connected to your iCloud account > Tap the one you want to remove app permanently.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Apple ID. If you're using macOS Mojave or earlier, you don't need to click Apple ID. Click iCloud. Select or deselect each app.
Method 4: How to Share Apps from iPhone to iPhone by iCloudiCloud is another desirable alternative that you can use to share apps from one iPhone to another iPhone with ease. This method resembles iTunes and thus involves the backup and restore process.
Ok, I emailed with Apple and even spoke to the developer support about this issue. There is absolutely no way to transfer an app that uses or has used in a past version iCloud to another account.
This leaves you with these 2 options suggested by Apple:
Too bad.
