I have MS Word 2013 and MS Print to PDF for creating PDF documents. I use heading styles for creating headings in my document and I can see them in Word's navigation pane. I'd like to have these headings in PDF navigation pane as well. How can I achieve this? Now when I print my document into PDF, I loose these headings from navigation pane in PDF doc!

Voted Best Answer. You can turn the navigation pane on by going View – Show/Hide - Show naviagtion panel. Or easy still, just click the pane you want open, for example Pages. Depending on the PDF you open, you have to move forward through multiple pages, see different parts of the page, or change the magnification. There are many ways to navigate, but the following items are commonly used: Next and Previous: The Next Page and Previous Page buttons appear in the Page Navigation toolbar.
The default save option is probably Word Document (.docx) format. Select instead PDF from the drop-down menu. Do not save yet. A.) In Word for PC: As soon as you select PDF a new Options button appears. Click it. In some versions of Word instead of the Options button, you will find a More options link. Click it.
To open that page in the document pane, click a page thumbnail. If you do not see these items, choose View > Show/Hide > Toolbar Items > Reset Toolbars. There are many ways to turn pages in a PDF.
There is no need for third party tools, just use the Save As dialog. Choose PDF as the 'Save as type' and click the large 'Options' button at the bottom of the dialog. In the Options dialog check 'Create bookmarks using' and ensure that 'Headings' is selected. Click OK
Word will even remember your choices and set them as the default for when you do it again.
