I would like to use c# to convert a doc file to docx file.
Can this be done without Word on a server?

Select the folder where you want to save your document. The dialog box will open > Select "Save as" > In the "Save as type" menu > Select the option "Word document (. docx)" > Click on the "Save as" button and a copy of your file will be saved in Docx format.
Firstly, arrange all doc or docx files in one folder. Secondly press “Ctrl” and click to select all files. Next right click and choose “Save As” on the menu. Now there shall be multiple “Save As” windows popping up, so choose doc or docx for file type accordingly.
Microsoft Word (version 2007 and above) is the primary software program used to open and edit DOCX files. If you have an earlier version of Microsoft Word, you can download the free Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack to open, edit, and save DOCX files in your older version of MS Word.
