UPS offers up to 30 characters for address lines 1 and 2, FedEx offers up to 35 characters, and the USPS goes up to a whopping 46 characters. The numbers slightly vary for other components of the address, like name, company, city, ZIP code, and state info.
Whether you are using UPS, FedEx, ShipStation or any other shipping solution, most character limits tend to range between 30 or 35 characters (some even as low as 25 characters).
Allow all of them! Especially when you take in personal names and organisations.
If you only allow certain characters, you are only going to frustrate your end users.
