I need to get muslim prayer (Umm Al-qura Makkah time) time to my iOS app. Are there any servers providing these information in either JSON or XML ?
Thanks.
Muslims pray five times a day, with their prayers being known as Fajr (dawn), Dhuhr (after midday), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (after sunset), and Isha (nighttime), always facing towards Mecca.
Salat al-zuhr: midday, after the sun passes its highest. Salat al-'asr: the late part of the afternoon. Salat al-maghrib: dusk or just after sunset. Salat al-'isha: between sunset and midnight.
Muslims offer their prayers five times daily and the duration of each prayer ranges from five to at the most 15 minutes.
The prayer itself can be done in as little as five minutes, and can be performed solo or with a group. It involves rakats — a sequence of movements and postures such as standing, bowing, kneeling and touching the ground with the forehead while reciting specific verses from the Quran.
