I'm trying to install Xcode from xip, but when I try to open the .xip file I get the following error: 'The archive "Xcode.xip" does not come from Apple'

The archive should appear in the Archives window (Xcode > Window > Organizer).
Archive your App In Xcode with your project open, select the simulator (button near the top of the window next to your project name, typically named as a specific type of iPhone) – change it to Generic iOS Device. Open the Product menu and choose Archive. You will see the archive information. Click Validate App.
The certificate used to sign the files probably expired. As a workaround, I managed to uncompress the xip file by setting my system date back to One year back.
