xampp mysql Failed to initialize multi master structures

Question

I installed xampp on windows and it worked.

Today when i try to start mysql service it returns this error and i can't run mysql

what's wrong with mysql?

I had the same issue, just delete the multi-master.info and all the garbage it created after the error and restart the mysql.

It worked for me.
