I’ve recently started learning IOCP on Windows and been reading the following article:

The sample contains two simple applications – iocp_echo_server and TcpEchoClient.
I understand that IOCP is usually used on the server side of the client/server model but I’d like to create a client using IOCP.
I’ve so far tried modifying the client sample above so that whenever the server sends a response to the client, it gets picked up automatically, however it doesn’t work.
I’ve left iocp_echo_server.c as is. My modified version of TcpEchoClient.c looks like:

ClientIOCP.zip contains the IOCP client; the IOCP client can stress-test the IOCP server. IOCPExecutables.zip contains the IOCP client and server executables.
This section describes procedures and programming techniques employed with Winsock. It includes basic Winsock programming techniques, such as Getting Started With Winsock, as well as advanced techniques useful for experienced Winsock developers. After initialization, a SOCKET object must be instantiated for use by the server.
IOCPExecutables.zip contains the IOCP client and server executables. All of the code submissions are console based applications. The implementation of this server can be found in socket2.zip. Once a listening socket is created, a call is made to the AcceptConnections() function with the listening socket as the input parameter:
