I am using admob in my app to show advertising. To check the impressions I am using AdSense app and set with my AdMob account.
When I check the impressions count on site apps.admob.com and on app AdSense impression count differ. Its almost double on AdSense app. What is the reason behind that?

As you said admob is for native apps, adsense is for websites. So if you want to monetize your apps you need to get an admob account. It is not against google terms and condition to earn from website as well as mobile app, you can do both. All you need to do is to get an admob account and put your ads into your app.
AdMob Network request RPM(Previously Known as eCPM): Revenue per thousand impressions (RPM) is calculated by dividing your estimated earnings by the number of page views you received, then multiplying by 1000.
If you sign up with the email you also use for AdSense, your AdMob and AdSense accounts will be linked. If you started using AdMob first, you can upgrade your account to use AdSense with the following steps: Visit https://www.google.com/adsense.
Impressions, which is the count of each time an individual ad is displayed in an app. Clicks, the total number of clicks on ads in your app. Impression clickthrough rate, which is the rate at which users clicks per each individual ad shown.
I am seeing the same behavior.

It seems that Admob shows adsense when it has no admob ads to show. but still it is a mystery tome why this is not indicated explicitly in the Admob website.
