I am not talking about the code editor. I have already imported my Visual Studio setting to change the color markup of my project files I am now wanting to change the Theme of Visual Studio to a darker theme using Theme plugin in the Visual Studio Gallery. Is there anywhere to go to get a pre-crafted dark theme, as the default ones it comes with are quite poor?
On the menu bar, select Tools > Options. In the options list, select Environment > General. In the Color theme list, choose between the default Dark theme, the Blue theme, the Blue (Extra Contrast) theme, and the Light theme. Or, choose the Use system setting option to select the theme that Windows uses.
The building blocks of a theme This place, in macOS, OSX or Linux is in the ~/. vscode/extensions directory while in Windows it should be in %USERPROFILE%\. vscode\extensions .
You can customize your active Visual Studio Code color theme with the workbench. colorCustomizations user setting. Note: If you want to use an existing color theme, see Color Themes where you'll learn how to set the active color theme through the Preferences: Color Theme dropdown (Ctrl+K Ctrl+T).
